Sandstone Commons - 1.7 Acre Office Building - Fishers, Indiana

Located within a rapidly growing area of metropolitan Indianapolis, this project represents the successful collaboration of several disciplines to bring this commercial retail center to fruition. Brooks School Road and a major county utility corridor enframe two sides of this parcel. Site design was further restricted by local planning and zoning requirements for commercial development adjacent to a residential subdivision.

Remenschneider Associates design solution sequestered loading and unloading activities behind the ‘L' shaped building. Evergreen trees buffer adjacent housing and a unique planting palette effectively screens parking while allowing views to the commercial building. The final design represents RAI's ability to collaborate with the owner, engineer and governmental agencies to produce what a representative from the Town of Fishers called ‘An example that more commercial developments should strive toward.'
