BP Amoco Convenience Centers - Metropolitan Indianapolis Remenschneider Associates has prepared landscape plans for over 30 BP Amoco Gas Convenience Centers throughout central Indiana. In the process, RAI has created a palette of regional landscape plants that add to a unified presence for each new BP convenience center in the metropolitan area, regardless of the site configuration constratints. The BP within historic Fort Benjamin Harrison posed several challenges. The collaborative design efforst were conducted betwee RAI, the building architects and site engineers, with agency approvals required from the Marion County and Lawrence Township planning divisions and the Reuse Authority of Fort Benjamin Harrison. Given the limited site area, various agency requirements for tree preservation and site development while also addressing the client's requirements for a uniform commercial presence, the resulting development has successfully met the owner's goals of image, cost and timeliness. |
